PURPOSE
In Australia, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 calls for commercial organisations who supply goods and services for profit or gain, and with annual turnovers of A$50million or more, to publicly publish an MSA statement within five months of the end of each fiscal year. Although we are not a company of that size, we feel it’s a good step to promote this act and hence we require our consultants at JasmineLow.com and related business entities listed below to comply with our policies relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS
Our supply chains include freelancers, independent consultants and contract suppliers; talents, artists, musicians, graphic designers, public relations, events and marketing consultants, production partners, print and digital suppliers, travel and logistics suppliers, corporate gift suppliers, venues for live events, large and small technology suppliers, IT consultants, professional services from our lawyers, accountants and other advisors, cleaning services based in Australia, Malaysia and worldwide.
ACTS TO ADDRESS RISK
JasmineLow.com tracks and places importance on this issue. To date, we are not aware of any slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain. Therefore, we consider the overall risk level among our supply chains to be low.
During the year, JasmineLow.com has reviewed each business area to assess the risk of modern slavery in those areas. The entirety of each supply chain is examined. For example, brands that we represent, which form a part of the media and technology industry we partake in, have been considered. The highest risk of modern slavery in our supply chains has been judged to be most likely among our IT consultants and corporate gift suppliers, who use sourcing companies based in Southeast Asia. However, these sourcing companies carry out extensive auditing and site inspections of their suppliers and factories in this region to monitor the risk of modern slavery.
JasmineLow.com interviews and checks on its suppliers from Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and India and, as a result of this frequent contact, has no concerns with this segment of its supply chain. Business relationships and contracts with suppliers from Australia and abroad are also regularly reviewed, either continuously throughout the contract term or upon renewal.
JasmineLow.com is committed to running its business responsibly and, in an effort to increase visibility across its supply chains, JasmineLow.com introduced a Supplier Code of Conduct to address, among other things, issues of child labour, compulsory labour and human trafficking. Where not already addressed, additional wording to cover our anti-slavery policy and ensure adherence to the Code is being phased into commercial agreements, either when we enters into contracts with new suppliers and/or when contracts with existing suppliers are renewed.
In addition, JasmineLow.com has put in place a Modern Slavery Supplier Questionnaire as part of its due diligence procedures in relation to existing and potential suppliers.
JasmineLow.com is committed to only working with suppliers who take their obligations towards modern slavery as seriously as we do and who will adhere to the tenets of our Supplier Code of Conduct.
POLICY
Beginning January 2020, inspired by The Freedom Hub in Sydney, we have devised this Policy to our vendors and partners worldwide in order to increase awareness surrounding this issue.
Training and guidance for employees will express the importance of ethical conduct, the principles of our Supplier Code of Conduct and the importance of undertaking due diligence in this area before appointing a supplier.
